Maintenance is seen to be a worthwhile and economical approach to safeguarding our historic buildings and ways of funding maintenance projects or incorporating maintenance planning into grant conditions are currently being explored. English Heritage has also put forward a proposal for a small grants scheme, which might be of assistance to places of worship tackling smaller repair and maintenance projects.
